Surreal
Time passes too fast, too fast. I look back at some of my JC photos, and I can't believe how terrible they look now...I'd like to think I look better each year, but I'm pretty sure a few years down the road, I'm going to look back at my current photos and think, 'gosh, I can't believe I used to look like that', haha. Worst still, it depresses me to see how much younger everyone looked just 2 years ago... it's as if entering university makes us age all of a sudden. Awhile ago, I met up with a friend 2 years younger than me and I remember thinking he has really matured so much from the time I first met him. Over our annual New Year Eve's gathering at Es' places, I remember thinking that we've all changed in some way, just that I can't put my finger as to what exactly it is... it just felt very different from our gathering a year ago, when everyone got wasted way before New Year... but as always, somethings don't change. I'm always so thankful that everything seems to fall right into place when I'm with old friends from the Nanyang/Hwachong days... even though we've all moved on.
BAH. I should just stop thinking so much and enjoy my last 4 days in Singapore.
Yesterday was a day of reunions- had lunch at Holland Village with the Beijing gang, so nice that all 6 of us could be there, laughing, photo whoring, and letting dear Ditzy entertain us as usual. Dinner was with f.r.i.e.n.d.s at Ms Claritys... first time I've seen Jingyi/Christine in ages... a pity I couldn't try the food thanks to food poisoning...but as always, it's just nice sitting there with my favourite girls, listening to Jingyi talk at a speed of a bullet train (and telling her to slow down so that I can hear, haha), just catching up on each others lives etcetcetc... ah, I like familiarity.
For the first time in ages, I couldn't sleep last night...but let's not go there.
Anyway, in case anyone doesn't know yet, I set up a blog for exchange- http://chengwei-in-nyc.blogspot.com Drop me a note! =)
